Ryan Koning is an artist and educator based in Des Moines, Iowa. A 2019 graduate of Luther College with degrees in studio art and education, she began her teaching career at East High School in Des Moines Public Schools the same year. While teaching, she pursued further education, earning a Master of Science in Education from Drake University, with a focus on teaching multilingual learners. At East High, Ryan teaches Introduction to 2D & 3D Art, Advanced Drawing and Painting, and AP Art and Design courses. In 2023, she expanded her involvement in the local art community by becoming a volunteer docent at the Des Moines Art Center, where she leads tours for groups of all ages. Ryan continues to develop her own art practice from her home studio and exhibits her work at local galleries in and around the Des Moines area.​
